Where to top up
myki money and myki pass are valid for travel on all metropolitan train, tram and bus services including V/Line services in Zone 1 + 2 to Melton and Sunbury.
myki is also operating on regional bus services in Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Seymour, Warragul and the Latrobe Valley. For more information, see regional town bus ticketing.
V/Line train and coach services will begin operating with myki in later stages of the rollout. Keep visiting this website for updates.
myki money and myki pass can be instantly topped up at myki machines available at:
- all metropolitan train stations
- some accessible tram stops*
- some bus interchanges*
- myki Discovery Centre at Southern Cross Station
- selected retailers where you see the myki sign. Retail attendents will assist you with topping up your myki over the counter.
You can still top up as little as $1 cash at myki machines and myki retailers.

- At the MetShop*
A minimum of $10 is now required to top up via the myki website and call centre.
*At the MetShop, a minimum of $1 is required to top up and a maximum of $250.
Please note: You should allow at least 24 hours for the balance to appear on your card when topping up online or by telephone.
In most cases, myki funds will be available on your card when you touch on at a myki reader or myki machine after this time.
In some cases myki funds transfers may take a little longer. If you have not received your top up after 48 hours you should contact 13 6954 (13 myki) for assistance.
During the myki rollout process, the number of myki sales and top up outlets will gradually increase.
If your myki is registered, you can set auto top up through your credit card or direct debit.
