Then via Railway Parade North, Springvale Road, Edithvale Road, Kinross Avenue, Rae Avenue and Station Street to Edithvale Railway Station. Then via Station Street, Edithvale Road, Munroe Avenue, Elsie Grove, Cross Road, Ella Grove, Baxter Avenue, Embankment Grove and Station Street to the terminus at Chelsea Railway Station. The 889 departs from the terminus at Nunawading Railway Station and runs via route 888 to Springvale Road and Wells Road then via Wells Road, Lynne Street, Smyth Street, Brolga Avenue, Chelsea Park Drive, Thames Promenade and Station Street to the terminus at Chelsea Railway Station.
