The Hi-Fi

Since 2005 Metlink has partnered with iconic Melbourne music venue, The Hi-Fi.

A number of innovative projects and promotions that deliver public transport information to Melbourne’s music enthusiasts have taken place.

Metlink’s journey planner features on The Hi-Fi website. This encourages young people to travel responsibly by public transport and provides easy access to essential public transport information.

Cricket Victoria

Metlink works with Cricket Victoria to support sporting events that bring communities together.

Metlink Bushrangers Community Cricket Days create a fun environment for young Melbourne cricket fans to learn about public transport.

By offering free admission to Bushrangers matches with a valid Metcard, Metlink encourages people of all ages to consider taking public transport to Melbourne’s sports events.

Fifteen Foundation

Metlink proudly provides restaurant trainees at Melbourne’s Fifteen Foundation with Yearly Metcards to help get them to and from work on public transport.

The Fifteen restaurant concept was created by Jamie Oliver in 2002 when he realised he could offer young people from tough backgrounds the opportunity to start a restaurant career in a supportive environment. Metlink continues this support.

Flexicar

Thanks to a partnership with Metlink, Flexicars are located in close proximity to train, tram and bus services.

Being so close to public transport means that members can sell their car and use Melbourne’s trains, trams and buses to access Flexicars when needed.

Flexicar is a membership-based carsharing service with members renting cars by the hour.

The Alfred Hospital Fathers' Day Appeal

Metlink supports The Alfred with its annual Fathers' Day Appeal. Through Metcard advertising and promotion Metlink has helped raise the profile of this major public fundraising event.

RMIT Fashion Parade – Melbourne Spring Fashion Week

Metlink supports local design with its sponsorship of the RMIT Graduate Fashion Parade.

Metlink is proud to be part of this Melbourne Spring Fashion Week event, which presents the work of innovative young Melbourne designers.

More than 100 fashion events take place around the CBD at city retailers, bars and Melbourne Town Hall in September for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. These venues are accessible by public transport.

Northern Bullants

Metlink support’s the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in their mission to provide the community with cancer care. Through Metcard advertising, the centre’s profile and important work are raised.

Melbourne Writers Festival

Metlink is supporting the 2008 Melbourne Writers Festival, which is being held at Federation Square for the first time in its 23 year history.
