Melbourne operates the world's largest tram network. Public Transport Victoria are delivering a large program of works to upgrade the network to a world class system, improving its accessibility, capacity, reliability and safety.

Improving tram accessibilityVictoria has an obligation under the Commonwealth Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) to significantly increase the number of level access stops and low-floor trams on the network over time. |
New E-Class tramsAs part of the Tram Procurement Program, Dandenong based company Bombardier will design, construct and maintain 50 new low-floor E-Class trams for Melbourne’s tram network. E-Class trams will be the safest and most accessible with a range of innovative features. |
