Melbourne Metro Rail Project This project will expand the City Loop, enabling major improvements in capacity, reliability and efficiency of train lines serving Melbourne's growth areas.	Cranbourne Pakenham Line Upgrade The Cranbourne Pakenham Line Upgrade will deliver a 42 per cent capacity boost as well as improve reliability on one of Melbourne's busiest rail corridors.
Regional Rail Link Regional Rail Link has increased the size of Victoria's rail network, removing bottlenecks that cause train delays by untangling regional and metropolitan train services as they travel through Melbourne's west into the heart of the city.	New trains The 2015-16 State Budget included a $2 billion investment in new trains and trams for the network.
Mernda Rail Extension The Victorian Government has committed to extending the South Morang line to Mernda.	Bayside Rail Project The Bayside Rail Project is a $115 million investment in improvements and upgrades along the Frankston line to enable X’Trapolis trains to operate on the Frankston line and provide safer, more comfortable stations.
Digital Train Radio System Digital Train Radio System is the metropolitan train driver communication system that will replace the existing Urban Train Radio System.	Bendigo Metro Rail Project Bendigo Metro Rail aims to deliver a commuter train service for Bendigo, with an increased number of services running from Epsom, Eaglehawk and Kangaroo Flat to Bendigo.
Calder Park Train Stabling Facility A new train stabling and possible future maintenance facility is proposed at Calder Park to help increase and maintain the frequency and reliability of Melbourne's trains, particularly on the Sunbury line.	Warragul Rail Precinct Upgrade The $26.04 million Warragul Rail Precinct Upgrade will provide a new rail underpass, new car park and bus interchange at Warragul Station.
