Accessible toilets at metropolitan stations

For many years, accessible toilets at some metropolitan stations have been kept closed with access granted on request. After consulting with customers and representatives from the disability community, this policy has been reviewed and we are currently making changes to allow accessible toilets to be kept open at stations whenever station staff are on duty.

Accessible toilets are already open at some stations, and others will be opened as soon as modifications to toilet doors and locking mechanisms have been completed.

At some stations, the accessible toilet is also a staff toilet. These toilets will need to remain closed but will be opened by station staff for anyone who wishes to access the facility.
