Buses replacing trains on the Werribee line: Saturday 12 September - Sunday, 13 September 2015

Due to signalling upgrades and testing, buses will replace trains for customers travelling to Seaholme, Altona and Westona Stations from the first service on Saturday 12 September, to the last service on Sunday, 13 September, 2015.

Trains will operate express from Newport to Laverton and then stop all stations to Werribee.

Please note that this may increase your journey by up to 30 minutes.

Replacement buses will stop at:

Newport
Bus Interchange
Mason Street, Route 432 Stop
Exit Newport Station on to Melbourne Road. Use pedestrian crossing to proceed to bus interchange on Mason Street.
Bus Interchange
Mason Street, Route 471 Stop
Exit Newport Station on to Melbourne Road. Use pedestrian crossing to proceed to bus interchange on Mason Street.
Seaholme
Bus Stop
Millers Road
Exit Seaholme Station on to Station Street, turn right and proceed to Millers Road. Turn right, cross level crossing with caution and proceed to bus stop located near the corner of Central Avenue and Millers Road.

Exit Seaholme Station on to Station Street, turn right and proceed to Millers Road. Turn right, cross level crossing with caution. Cross Central Avenue and then Millers Road with caution and proceed to bus stop on right.
Altona

Railway Place South, Altona Station Entrance
Proceed to bus stop in front of station entrance on Railway Place South.
Bus Stop
Corner Pier Street and Railway Place North
Exit Altona Station on to Railway Place South, turn left and proceed to Pier Street. Turn left and cross level crossing and Railway Place North with caution. Turn right and cross Pier Street with caution, proceed to bus stop on left.

Laverton

Railway Avenue
Proceed to Metro designated bus stop opposite Laverton Station entrance.

Customers with special needs should contact their local train station in advance or ask staff at the replacement bus stops to organise travel.

Please note: In accordance with the Victorian Fares & Ticketing Manual 2015, bicycles, surfboards and dogs are not permitted to travel on buses. An exception exists for guide dogs, hearing guide dogs, guide dogs in training, animals identified by an Assistance Animal Pass and small animals if they are suitably contained.
