Removing level crossings
About
Over the next eight years, the State Government will deliver a coordinated program to remove 50 of the worst level crossings in Melbourne, improving safety, reducing congestion and enabling more frequent train services.
A dedicated Level Crossing Removal Authority has been established to deliver the program. The Authority will oversee construction of each level crossing removal to ensure they are delivered in a coordinated and efficient way.
