Network Status Boards

Your eyes on the network

Network status boards are being piloted on the Frankston line as part of the $100 million Bayside Rail Project.

Network status boards provide a snapshot of how train, tram and bus services are performing across the network, displaying up-to-date service information on the public transport system for the first time.

The boards will indicate if services are running smoothly or experiencing delays. Information such as any expected delay times, replacement services or planned service changes will also be included to help passengers plan their journey across the network and transport modes.

Each train line and mode of transport is colour-coded on the network status boards, making it easier for you to find your preferred way to travel.

Network status boards are being piloted on the Frankston line and have initially been installed at Malvern, Moorabbin and Bentleigh stations. From mid-2014 the boards will be rolled out to all stations on the Frankston line. Once the pilot phase is complete, PTV will assess whether to network status boards will be installed across the network.

Please see below for an example Network Status Board (subject to change during trial).
